The seed

"...The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God's word,
but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, and
the lure of wealth, so NO fruit is produced..." - Matt 13:7-22 or Luke 8:11-15

Weeds and thorns in our hearts choke out good things and pose a threat to righteous and fruitful living.
(i) When I complain, I choke out contentment
(ii) When I worry, I choke out peace
(iii) When I judge, I choke out mercy
When I finish weeding, I offered thanks that through God's power,
I can experience victory over things that would otherwise choke His truth.
