Egg able to stand on the floor

I was being told by my co-li that yesterday nite, close to 1am, if u place an egg upright, it able to stand up...

I really doubt it at first, till I manage to do it... I wonder why? Why is that so? Why only on yday at certain timing the egg able to stand on flat surface area. hmm.....
